There are many different perspectives concerning karma - from the religious to the theosophical - my understanding - given to me by spirit - is a little different from most! I don't believe that karma is awarded to us by the gods or a karmic board - who have judged us for being bad or good during life. This has never made much sense to me. Not in a universe supposedly inhabited by a divine being that is non judgemental and unconditional loving in nature. Besides - who is the divine to judge whether we are good or bad? From what context would such judgement come - the divine never have known the difficulties of life. No - I have always been told that it is WE who judge ourselves and We who impose karma in order to rebalance and redress the ramifications of such behaviour. A process that occurs after death during our life review in the spirit world where we are held in a state of temporal truth - where we cannot lie - even to ourself. These karmic decisions then - based upon the guilt and shame that we might feel for our earthly actions - are recorded and passed on to the soul - the higher self - who determines exactly how and when the karma might be enacted. So - every time we incarnate - The Soul sends down to earth with us pre-loaded karma that it hopes we will be able to heal, dissolve and resolve during our lifetime on earth. These karmic issues being a cocktail of karmic wounds, karmic patterns, karmic oaths and pacts and true karma all stacked one a top the other. We'll explore what each of these is a little later.
