However - if we dig a little deeper - beyond the popular Judaic myth we might see a different story, one of the first independent woman who chose to rebel against her patriarchal creator and claim a life of her own - separate from serving the sexual needs of her husband!
We might see the first woman to have recognised the divine power of the Great Mother that lurked within, a primal power - older than the Divine that she was said to have been created by - something more primal and more magic.
We might see an ancient and forgotten Assyrian Goddess of the night, of shadow and of the shadow self who commands the darkness not to assail or beleaguer but rather so that it might conform and surrender its secrets and its powers and most importantly its treasures.
This workshop explores the true nature of Lilith and why she is so important now - in an age where women and those feminine men are still so hounded, victimised and made to feel ashamed for not conforming to the stereotypes of man.
