Samhain is one of the major festivals of the pagan year, it is the end of the cycle of birth and growth when the seeds of the harvest have fallen deep into the dark earth and unseen lie dormant, and thus apparently lifeless. In the Cunning Folk calendar it is called the Time of Bones.
This is pagan New Years Eve when the veils between the worlds are at their thinnest and the boundaries dissolve and all is laid bare. It is time to honour and offer hospitality to our ancestors, the spirit world, our guides and guardians - welcoming them into the magic circle through the Eastern Gate.
A truly magical time the ending of the old year signals the beginning of the new and light is born out of darkness. The opportunity to rest and reflect on the past and to dream of new beginnings is upon us and magic is potent and powerful in the air.
In this lecture we will explore the myths and magic of this time, and cultivate the inner seed of promise now hidden in the earth within as well as reaching out for guidance, companionship and love from the world beyond through meditation and channelling.
PLEASE NOTE: The time of this lecture is 11pm until 12.30am
